Welcome!The object of the seminar is to expand upon students pre-existing English language ability to foster a working level writing ability and understanding of research methodology. The students will learn to take a variety of sources, focusing primarily on digital texts, and apply them to a variety of writing tasks. Skills learned include assessing information quality, summarization, and citation using MLA and APA formatting.
DISCUSSION NOTES: The object of the class discussion activities is to increase students’ confidence in spoken and written English, particularly as it pertains to defining and defending a specific position in an argument.
