Week Two Assignment Checklist:
  1. Download and install Zotero 5.0 WebApp and the Zotero Connector browser tool. It works best with the Google Chrome web browser. Link: https://www.zotero.org/download/​
  2. ​Begin collecting articles and books about your area of research (semantics, for example) in your Zotero collection. Try to find at least one article and at least one book. If possible, attach a .pdf file to one of your entries.
  3. Carefully study Section 4 of Turabian: “Engaging Your Sources.” Next week we will have another quiz over the contents and we will begin discussing the effective use of sources in our writing, including: efficient note-taking strategies; summarizing, paraphrasing, and quoting; and avoiding plagiarism.

Final Exam Instructions:​
Continue to add sources to your Annotated Bibliography (100 sources minimum). 
  • If you are creating an outline using your sources and notes (recommended but optional), create a new Google document titled “Annotated Bibliography” and make an outline for your Annotated Bibliography, adding sources and notes. 
  • If you choose not to use Google Docs to create an outline, make sure that all of the sources for your Annotated Bibliography are inside your shared library (the one shared with me). Do not include sources that you haven’t read and created notes and tags for. Organize your references into the appropriate folders and subfolders and make sure that you have a well-organized tag system.
​​The annotated bibliography is due December 22nd at 11:59.
